The Essence of Spring (And Bokeh!)

May 25th, 2010, I took a journey with one of my most steadfast companions: my camera.

I walked around my front yard, snapping pictures incessantly, in an effort to capture the essence of spring (er...summer).

After so many photos, I hope I've succeeded.

One of the things I did accomplish was...bokeh!

(At least, I think that's bokeh....at the very least, it looks cool. ;)

Cheesecake = ♥

I took these photos the day after I got my new camera. I was amazed to see how perfectly they captured the textures and colors of the cheesecake. It still makes me happy to think about how easy it was to take the pictures. It was pretty much like...a piece of cake! Cheesecake to be exact. ;)

Oh man... now I'm hungry!

I'm just starting to get the feel of textures, like the different "looks" of the bread and cheese in this photo. My sandwich ended up being really fun to photograph, especially since I wasn't hungry enough to eat it. ;)

(Believe it or not, this was the only picture that made the cut. I have a ton of pictures of a grilled cheese sandwich hogging up space on my harddrive. Such is the life of a photographer, I suppose!)
